Bar Raval is a 21st-century response to Spanish Art Nouveau design. The brainchild of celebrated Canadian chef Grant van Gameren and wunderkind mixologists Mike Webster and Robin Goodfellow, Raval introduces Toronto to the “pintxo” bar—a tapas-style bar that is a cornerstone of social and gastronomic culture in northern Spain.

Carefully hewn from what look like unbroken Mobius strips of sinuous mahogany, the interior design is fundamentally corporeal. In a stand-up-only environment, the rippled—and rippling—surfaces encourage patrons to get comfortable, lean into their soft edges, and become a part of the woodwork. Raval’s molten quality fosters fluid circulation and close encounters, honouring the spirit of its Spanish pintxo counterparts. Its sculptural aesthetic is also intended to mirror muscle tissue. In fact, it pays direct homage to the tattooed physicality of the three owners.

The result is a marvel. For those who have braved the daily lineups to get into the bar, they describe feeling as though they’ve exited Toronto and entered an entirely different world.

Zweig is a 210-sq.m space with a 60 guests capacity; you can’t but make a connection between the bar’s target guests, people with shared interests in art and fine dining, love for travel and reading, and the name of Stefan Zweig, an Austrian novelist, playwright, journalist and biographer, and the most translated author in Europe in the 1920s and 1930s.

One of the most prominent features of the space is the original brickwork groin-vaulted ceiling.
A large bookstand stylized as an arch welcomes Zweig’s guests and sets up the tone of the place. Its shape bears unmistakable reference to historical architecture, while structural details are refreshingly modern.
The arch is multi-functional: it serves as a bookcase where you can grab a book to read at your table; it is a retail station where you can buy a book; it is also a partition that separates the entrance zone featuring a soft seating area by the window from the main hall.
The focal point of the main hall is the bar with its liquor bottle shelving unit. It is shaped like a wide arch trimmed with sand-colored brickwork.

Flight Club Birmingham is an 8,700 sqft venue is set over three floors, comprising 14 oches and two bars.
The concept for the ground floor is based around the idea of the fairground penchant for a ‘trick of the eye’. The design scheme is an exploration of the beginnings of animation and the moving image in the context of the Victorian fairground.

The ground floor space is dominated by a dramatic marquee-inspired ceiling feature and bar with perimeter trompe l’oeil ‘windows’ revealing the surrounding village fairground.

The bar front features hand painted designs inspired by patterns found in traditional fairground games, combined with reclaimed Victorian fireplace tiles and laser cut blackened steel detailing.
The canopy of the bar incorporates details found in traditional carousel canopies.

The proposal was based on the idea of resorting to materials that define the architectural aesthetic of traditional British taverns, and to extirpate only its DNA: the windows of iron window frames and bare bricks; an interior skin system that covered all the walls and the most outstanding functional spaces.
The compositional system of the bricks mutes to become "aerial" walls, with open joints crossed by screwed rods. This gave to the designers team an ethereal composition that allows them to resolve the proposal in a non-linear way to the original suggestion of a traditional London tavern.

Glazed sections have different levels of transparency, in some cases without glasses and in others with old glasses or translucent or opaque glasses organized according to the functionality of each space, referencing the smoked glass of British pubs. This system of glass structure accompanies the entire interior.
The façade has the same system of distributed glass structures and open-joint brick walls in a composition in conjunction with the double door access.

The restaurant's two-story space includes a main hall, a lounge area with a seven-meter-long bar and stage, an open kitchen, barbecue and tandoor, a wine room and a market food showcase inspired by Asian bazaars. An intriguing way of cooking allows guests to watch or participate in the process. The fantastic combination of cultural heritage and traditions of the iconic system of such diverse regions as the Caucasus, Turkey, Lebanon and Turkmenistan is vividly reflected in the interior decoration and design of the restaurant menu.

The interior is designed using three main materials: exotic wood, ceramic and polished metal. At the same time, a ceramic tile carpet is a modern presentation of ornaments in the Azerbaijani context and is the most striking element of the establishment.
The colour scheme is restrained, monochrome, with a predominance of natural colour. Polished metal and wood blend harmoniously with textiles. As well as traditional azure and green accents on a terracotta background.

NOI is a space for contemporary Italian cuisine created by the El Pradal group. It is a concept of Italian restaurant open to new flavors, but always faithful to what is "Made in Italy".
In addition, NOI is characterized by deep respect for the raw material, simplicity and exquisite customer service.

The key inspiration when developing the project was 'Italianness'. From the use of colours and materials to the iconography, the space oozes ‘70s Italy: an 'Italian pop' style that dominates the restaurant . The colour palette harmoniously fuses terracotta tones, reds and greens, typical of the country and its capital, Rome.
Meanwhile, the materials used were ceramic, terrazzo and concrete lattices, reflecting Italian architecture of the ‘70s.

This bar is located in the centre of Kharkiv on the first floor of a residential building.
It was considered "Chernyi" in spatial terms, using light and shadow as the source of black. By adding perfectly smooth, gliding, reflective surfaces to contrast aggressive surfaces to create a space with a rich and deep texture change.
In this project, a new wall covering was developed - black quartz sand. To counterbalance the aggressive texture of the sand, brushed stainless steel has been added, as it is almost always used in professional equipment, it was decided to reflect the professionalism in making coffee and cocktails in the interiors.

This is how stainless steel appeared in furniture, walls and false ceilings. Thanks to this, an interesting, unique play of reflections has turned out. The lowering of the stainless steel ceiling creates the effect of levitation, hiding ventilation pipes and other communications. The result is a minimalistic ceiling with a minimum of sensors and lamps.

Cienfuegos is mystery, mysticism and magic. Presented to the city as a large solid, permanent and imposing volume… like a cavern, a cavern where those who visit it will be spectators of the primary cooking elements and their transformation.

Passing through the door, two elements of different textures mark the passage, anticipating that something is about to happen. One of the elements is a curved lattice wall made of interlocking clay tiles that allow the view to be filtered towards the main room; the other is the façade gabion wall previously mentioned. The transition space between exterior and interior is intermittently intervened with smoke, which plays with the light beams, and between them both generate a unique experience. On the ceiling there are wooden elements that guide the rest of the journey.

From the main dining room, guests can access different areas: la terraza, la cava, la cueva and el estanque; each space narrates a different story.

The aim of this project was to create an interior with a special warm atmosphere, within which we could strive to reflect the beauty and strength of the Siberian natural habitat.

It was decided to create an atmosphere of an endless Siberian taiga and far north of Siberia, whilst also honoring Siberian rivers Yenisey, Tunguska and many others that provide people regional products, such as local fish and meat, used in everyday life in the northern parts of Siberia and also feature in the menu.

The majority of the materials are local sourced. The floor is a form of terrazzo created from Enisey pebbles; the bar and kitchen counters are made from the locally mined solid granite. The partitions and walls are completely natural tree trunks, sourced from the nearby forests, that were dried in the forest for several years. Metal pipes that made for kitchen hoods, stove and stairs to the ground floor reflect the rocks which we can see on Tunguska’s riversides.

Luigi's offers indoor-outdoor dining and a menu of Italian cusine.
The outdoor space consists of a beautiful city view, blue flower clouds and two artisanal gazebo.
The indoor space is fusing Renaissance architecture, reflecting the rebirth of Classical culture, with bold and modern perspectives of design.
The custom-crafted space boasts rich blue and terracotta colors, custom plaster moulding with silver leaves, geometric lighting fictures in nickel and blue fringes.
Luigi’s evokes the daytime Italian luxury. A stunning ambiance permeates the upscale space to mirror the restaurant’s culinary root.

The conjunction of traditional, familiar and modern elements runs throughout the material and colour concept. A ceiling of wooden lamellae fans out from the entrance area above the entire space. Chains of festoon lighting distributed across the ceiling and a rough tiled floor underfoot come together to evoke memories of balmy summer nights in Italy, spent drinking wine under the stars.

The room is zoned by means of incisions in the lamellae ceiling and the zoning is underscored by white, exceptionally shaped pillars at various points throughout the room. These are formed by different sizes of spheres and ellipsoids, reflecting the shape of a pizza, and strung together to create giant chains of pearls. The pearl chain motif is repeated in the table legs of the bar and in the room dividers. The same visual idiom can also be found as a graphical motif on the walls and in the communication media.
The colour concept uses warm pink, red and earthy tones to radiate retro charm.
