Botania, Madrid - Spain #marcobeolchi Botania is Botania, Madrid - Spain #marcobeolchi

Botania is a space where one can find a restaurant and bar dominated by the presence of magnificent nature, both inside and in its patio.
The space becomes a joint between green spaces, connecting the park at the plaza with the mentioned courtyard.
The integration of the two green spaces and the creation of a romantic environment were the two main motifs to follow.
The resulting design is a combination of earthy colors mixed with a variety of green and red.
There are different levels that follow organic shapes and grow around a metal bar located on the side. Vegetation is present all around, hanging from the ceiling. Inside and outside are linked through a remarkable pavement.
Lighting also becomes an evocation of Botania. Formed by natural fibers and metals it generates thresholds that give character to each of the areas.
The environment transports its guests to the forest, where color and light diffuse until they become only texture.
Ultimately, the whole project creates an extremely comforting environment where every guest can relax and escape the quick and noisy environment of the city.

The space is demur. The interior is anything but. The mash up of colors and curated cues create an energy and design dislocation which becomes totally connected when assembled.
The combination of design styles merge as one to create a space that makes you smile, and feel happy.
The juxtaposition of traditional and modern blends seamlessly, but the standout is the immersive design wow, wonder and surprise to see such an eclectic mix of styles harmonizing as one design lyric.
This concept is the first USA based outpost of a very tony and recognized brand in South America.
As a critical brand mission, each location is to be local and authentic. With this there is a color and sensibility that in a sophisticated in a Willy Wonka way that almost feels that the cakes and pastries have come to life in the interior design.
Design is Delicious.

Raised by Wolves, San Diego – USA #marcobeolchi Raised by Wolves, San Diego – USA #marcobeolchi

This boutique bottle shop and cocktail bar tucked away in the Westfield UTC shopping center in San Diego was designed with a desire to transport guests to Paris or London in the early 1900s.

Stained glass, brass wolf heads, vintage street lanterns and hand-painted French country murals welcome guests, who then discover a secret door inside, behind the facade of a fireplace, which turns (thanks to a rotating carousel) into one located under a massive stained glass gazebo structure with LED lighting that mimics sunrise to sunset.

The libations are served in a 22-foot round African Gold marble bar, surrounded by "claw and ball" bar stools imported from London.

The toilet also transports guests to a dreamy and otherworldly landscape with its fiber optic ceiling emulating the celestial night sky.

Dijon, Almaty – Kazakhstan #marcobeolchi The p Dijon, Almaty – Kazakhstan #marcobeolchi

The primary idea of the project is an harmonious combination of tenderness and brutality, airiness and massiveness, minimalism and glamorous fusion.
In the foundation of the project lays the tall curved rack protruding from the wall. It carries the functions of both lighting and decorating the main hall of the restaurant.
Round pendant lights, upholstered furniture, curved glass and a delicate color palette add brightness and airiness to the interior, while complex concrete structures, high ceiling and open space utilities provide the restaurant with solidity and grandeur.
The canvas-white walls are adorned with a minimalist artwork of David Cantu, an American artist.
The restaurant also has a small glass room of favorable temperature for storing wine and flowers. A floating concrete staircase, fenced on both sides with glass and mirror with vertical lighting, leads you to a separate area of the second floor with a large family table. Since the ceiling in this zone is only 2400 mm high, it has been coated with a mirror to visually expand the space.

Linow Hotel & Bar, Xi’an - China #marcobeolchi Linow Hotel & Bar, Xi’an - China #marcobeolchi

Xi'an LINOW HOTEL & BAR uses the walls of the ancient capital brick as a key design element that blends "old" and "new" and innovates on materials, colours, contours, lines and even stacking scales to create a unique, intense and exaggerated sense of space.
This becomes a brand new container, with a versatile modern life scene.
The design is disassembled and reorganized in the method and material aspects. By innovating the materials, the old elements are endowed with a new language.
In different spaces, various spatial experiences are achieved by creating a contrast between the old and new; relying on halos on the surface of materials, a cascading, transformable and psychedelic effect is so created as a response to the bottom color of soil.
The brick wall element exists from the beginning to end in various forms, connecting the memory of the space.

El Clásico, Madrid - Spain #marcobeolchi

El Clásico is a gastronomy space, which occupies a building with three floors each with a different concept: The tavern is on the ground floor, a rice-market on the first floor and a bar in the basement clandestine cocktail bar. In terms of decoration, there is an element common to all three spaces, the collages of the ceilings. In the tavern area, designed for tapas and portions, elements that evoke traditional taverns are mixed, such as the damer floor or the open kitchen. The red and white tones predominate, and it is worth highlighting the lamps, where the bottles are, and the red tiles on the kitchen walls.
On the first floor is the Mercado-Arrocería. When you arrive, the first thing that catches your eye is the light. Surrounded by large windows, it conveys a pleasant and joyful feeling that remained throughout the meal. On the other side, there is a small glazed interior patio, extremely attractive. The space is completed with the cellar, the open kitchen, with a space stove for rice. You can eat at a few high tables, not many, or at the bar, facing the windows, also prepared with tablecloths.
In the basement it was opened "El Clandestino", a completely different space, with the original exposed brick walls of the building and a darker and more intimate atmosphere.

Philtration, Bangkok - Thailand #marcobeolchi Ce Philtration, Bangkok - Thailand #marcobeolchi

Centuries ago, a famous Doctor, ‘Moh Mee’, concocted herbal medicines from the old factory basement of his family home. It was here that his family sold traditional Chinese medicine for hundreds of years. Since then, this chamber has been sealed away beneath the 100-year-old house, under the ’Moh Mee’ family’s protection. With the birth of Philtration, this hidden space is finally revealed, inviting guests to explore the century-old secret that for generations, has remained hidden.
Offering a modern take on an Oriental Apothecary styled bar, Philtration is where exceptional and exciting cocktails come together, to be enjoyed by those who love a good drink. Paying homage to Moh Mee’s medicines, drinks here are infused with herbs, spices, and teas found in Moh Mee’s creations, as a tribute to the family’s longstanding legacy. The name Philtration is derived from the word ‘philtre’, which means “a potion to make someone fall in love.”
Design-wise, you won’t find any sharp edges here. The interior are all about soft curves, accentuated by sleek streaks of light.

Gran Fierro, Prague - Czech Republic #marcobeolchi Gran Fierro, Prague - Czech Republic #marcobeolchi

The Argentinian restaurant Gran Fierro opened in 2015 in Voršilská Street in the centre of Prague.
Five years have passed, and the owner of the restaurant Juan Cruz Pacin was forced to move his successful business to a new address, in Myslíkova Street, near a unique functionalist building - the Mánes Gallery.
The effort to make the most of the original equipment and furnishings somehow determined the direction, the materials used and the colors of the interiors. New elements have been included in the design, always referring to construction raw materials, which however take on a completely new function.

The newly born Gran Fierro covers an area of 390 m2 (incl. Garden) with a total capacity of 163 seats. The restaurant is divided into 3 main parts - the main area with an integrated open kitchen, an outdoor garden with a winter garden and a rear wing with VIP lounges.

La Ferita (The Wound), Palazzo Strozzi, Florence – Italy #marcobeolchi

“They say the museums are closed. But it's up to us to open them.
Here is Florence, the city of Botticelli, Donatello, Machiavelli and Dante, we opened the Palazzo Strozzi.
These last few months, we have been deprived from the possibility to be together... but we still the freedom to dream, to create, to envision the future. Maybe, it's not much, but we have that!” JR

Il Diavolo L’Acqua Santa, Como - Italy #marcobeo Il Diavolo L’Acqua Santa, Como - Italy #marcobeolchi

"Il Diavolo L'Acqua Santa" is a multifunctional space created following the renovation of the stables of the nearby Castello dei Conti Reina in Como (Quarcino), which gave life to an original and innovative food and beverage project in Como.
Inside the structure there are three different dining areas: the restaurant “Le Scuderie”, the “Gourmet Lounge” and “I sette peccati dello chef” (anti-democratic cuisine), where you can taste different ideas of traditional cuisine with a touch of imagination.
The design furnishings, between tradition and modernity, and thoughtful lighting, make these living rock spaces welcoming and vibrant.
